"Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void." - You've Got Mail

First blog post ever! "Merry Sisters of Fate" contest entry:

** Anything creative that involves words and is inspired by the above picture "The Princess & The Pea" by Edmund Dulac **

COMMON GREEN PEA INFILTRATES PRINCESS'S BOUDOIR...and pays the ultimate price.

In her first interview since the incident, the princesss shares her side of the story with our very own Suzy Scribe. She gives a first-hand account of that day and the events that lead to the pea losing its life, details from that fateful night that only she could know.

SS: Can you start by telling us what you did the day of the event in question?

P: The day was surpisingly boring...at one point I called on the Jester for entertainment. Still bored, I called on Mother. But she and I were at the end of one of our tiffs, so she wouldn't indulge me.

SS: Did you notice anything mysterious when you retired to your chambers?

P: No, not at first. The maid, Miss Rose, had laid out my favorite pajama, so I was quite eager to rest.

SS: What was the first sign you weren't alone?

P: I had just settled into bed when... (beginning to sniffle)oh my apologies, this is still so hard to speak of...I had just settled into bed when I felt something under my back...

SS: Yes...

P: I tossed and turned, thinking Miss Rose handn't quite turned down the bedding properly. After some time, I knew it was more than a crinkled sheet.

SS: Did you call for help or "investigate" this crinkeld sheet on your own?

P: Well, I knew Miss Rose didn't want to be bothered with me another night and mother was barely speaking to me; so I acted alone.

SS: What did you do then?

P: Well, I climbed out of bed and lit my bedside candle. The candle light cast the most terrifying shadows on my walls...I was so scared. But I forced my trembling hand under the mattress and that's when I felt it.

SS: Felt what exactly?

P: At first, I thought it was a ball of lint...something harmless but as I pulled the intruder from under my bed I saw the glimpses of green and gloss...(sobs)

SS: I know this is hard, but can you explain how you ended up crushing the pea in question?

P: I didn't know what to do, it all happened so fast. I didn't mean to harm the pea... I was just so frightened.

SS: So then you admit to smashing the pea with your bare fingers...?

P:...(still sobbing)... Y-yes M'am... I didn't mean to do it.

SS: Thank you for your honesty Princess; I understand this is an emotional time for you. The kingdom will do all we can but you must understand that the other peas from his pod want justice.
